Tom, thanks for your perspective. Hopefully some of our posts this month (along with articles we've posted on http://ChurchMarketingOnline.com) will help do-it-yourself SEOs such as yourself improve your search rankings.

We'd also like try to change the perspective most people have of search marketing as a budget expense. When it's done well, search marketing produces a positive return on investment. It generates more revenue than it costs.

I have been reading some of the church websites review here on OurChurch blog. And many times, they were pretty poor.
The Christian organizations (especially local ones) need to recognize tremendous opportunities online, as people spend great amount of their time online.

What is the point of posting good content to help people if when they enter the keywords they don't find you?

I try to keep my keywords and website information upatated on my meta tags. And submit my site to some of the major search engines, but other than that I really don't know what to do.
