We blog 3 times a week, and our blog is always video at midweek. We ‘re using YouTube for the midweek update, as it’s short and satisfies YouTube requirements, so we can add more video on our web. YouTube also helps us to meet people we would not otherwise be meeting.

Last night I posted to Christian Web Trends about how Saddleback Church is not only creating videos for its members to use to invite others to worship and other events. But they've also created videos to teach their members how to do that. – http://bit.ly/aG99zA

Then this morning I was catching up on some blog reading when I caught this post on my church's student ministry blog that included 2 videos.http://bit.ly/97bs5M Our student ministry also posted videos to the blog to promote their summer trip, which is often attended by students who have yet to commit their lives to Christ.http://bit.ly/cLWlo7

I like that you mentioned the ROI of your blog, video and social media efforts. Using basic analytic tools doesn't have to be difficult either.

"Reaching people in new ways" sums it up. There's really no reason not to experiment is there.

I think video is right up there with social media and cell phones as having the greatest opportunity for evangelism. We live in just a media-centric culture that connecting with someone through video can be much more powerful than just text or text and images.

Churches posting the pastor's messages or entire services are one good use of video. I love to see people tell the story of how God has changed their lives on video. And if you blog there are all kinds of opportunities to embed your own videos or YouTube connect with people and explore ideas.
