Google Analytics 4 is Here. New Help Page & Video Tutorial

Google Analytics 4 help page and video tutorial

Google Analytics has been the most popular analytics platform for over a decade. It tracks and reports website traffic, and provides website managers with insight into where website visitors are coming from and what they’re doing on the website.

In 2019, Google released its 4th generation of Google Analytics – GA4.

We have been big proponents of the previous version of Google Analytics – Universal Analytics – for a long time, and, you know, “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.”

But recently Google announced that it will be discontinuing Universal Analytics July 1, 2023.

As a result, we have updated our How to Integrate Google Analytics into Your Website help page and video tutorial, which shows how to get a website setup with GA4 with just a few clicks if it’s built with our WP-EZ Website Builder.

We also updated the Google Analytics lesson (Course 4, Lesson 2) in our WP-EZ Training Center.

If you haven’t yet setup your website with Google Analytics, we encourage you to set it up with Google Analytics 4 now.

If you currently have your website setup with Universal Analytics (your GA tracking ID starts with a “UA”), it’s important to understand that there is no way to migrate to GA4 or transfer data from UA to GA4. So, next week we’ll be publishing an article and video tutorial on the best way to transition from UA to GA4 so that you are able to access valuable website traffic data throughout the transition.

    Why is this important? Because…

    Smart people make data-based decisions.

Note that if you had your website designed and built using our custom web design service or you have one of our Christian SEO services, we already setup your website with Google Analytics and will make the transition to GA4 for you.
