How to Add Online Giving to Your Website

    Paul SteinbrueckBy Paul SteinbrueckSep 14, 2022Updated:Sep 14, 2022No Comments2 Mins Read

Today, most people are used to paying bills, making purchases, and making donations online using websites or apps.  In fact, most people don’t carry a checkbook, and many don’t carry cash anymore.

It’s important for churches and nonprofits to make it as easy as possible for their members and supporters to make financial contributions, and that means adding online giving to their websites.

Adding online giving to your website is basically a two-step process.

    1) Sign-up with an online giving platform.

There are dozens of online giving platforms to choose from.  We currently do not have a partnership or direct integration with any of them, and our WP-EZ Website Builder makes it easy to add a “Give” button for any of them. Therefore, we don’t recommend any one online giving platform over the others.

    2) Add a “Give” or “Donate” button to your website.

Regardless of which online giving platform you choose, they will provide you with HTML code for a “Give” or “Donate” button which you can copy and paste into your website. This makes it easy for visitors to your website to click the button and make a onetime donation or setup recurring giving.

If you use OurChurch.Com’s WP-EZ Website Builder, we’ve got a new training video that shows you how to do this:

    Bottom line…

If you want people to financially support you, make it easy for them to give online.

If your organization needs a new website, our WP-EZ Website Builder makes it easy to get a WordPress-based website up and running in minutes rather than days. It comes with our WP-EZ Training Center, dozens of additional video tutorials, and our amazing support team.
