Like last week, we are focusing on specific functionality that can be added without having to have a PHD in PHP.
The 6th reason that WordPress is a great website platform for you is because: An Easy Calendar
Most of the websites that we build are church websites or school websites. Both of these organizations are extremely dependent a well functioning calendar. In addition, the both have many different groups within their organization, so it is helpful to be able to categorize events on the calendar.
We like to use All-In-One Event Calendar for a few reasons:
- It is easy to add events
- Ability to categorize events so visitors can search for events that only pertain to them
- The upcoming events widget makes it simple to feature the next events on the calendar without any ongoing effort (see livingabundantlytx.com for an example of this widget)
- Visitors can add events from the calendar to a personal Google or Outlook calendar
- The developer provides responsive support
- The developer releases regular updates
