An Easy Way to Increase Online Sales

    Paul SteinbrueckBy Paul SteinbrueckMar 23, 2017Updated:Mar 27, 20174 Comments2 Mins Read

The Internet offers a lot of great free stuff…

    • Search engines like Google and Bing are free to use
    • Social media sites like Facebook, Twitter and YouTube are free to use
    • WordPress software and many WordPress plugins are free to use

While it’s great we can enjoy all of these things at no cost, one downside is its fostered a myth some people believe that we shouldn’t have to pay for anything online (or at least not very much). However…

While the best things in life are free, sometimes you have to spend money to make money.

When deciding between a free or fee-based tool or service, it’s important to look at not just the cost but also the benefits and the possible return-on-investment.  Here’s one example…

    PayPal Shopping Cart vs WooCommerce

Our WP-EZ Website Builder includes a PayPal shopping cart included at no extra cost for those with a Gold Christian web hosting package. This PayPal cart is simple and easy to use. It’s great if your organization sells a handful of items.

However, if the primary purpose of your website is online sales, or you want advanced options like inventory management, more complex options for products, shipping and taxes, or you want to process transactions using your own merchant account rather than using PayPal, then WooCommerce is a better option. WooCommerce is one of the 3 premium plugins we introduced this month.

You can see an example of the WooCommerce shopping cart on LVSChurchSupply.com

If you’re already using our WP-EZ Website Builder, you can order WooCommerce here.

(Note that to use WooCommerce you must have an SSL certificate, which encrypts data, so we’ve bundled the two together for your convenience.)

Stay tuned as tomorrow we’ll discuss the SEO benefits of WooCommerce.

    Discuss

    • Does your organization sell any products or services?  If so, what?
    • Are you selling them online? If so, what are you using? A PayPal cart? WooCommerce? Something else?
