It is Crucial to Have this for Your Website

We at OurChurch.Com have been blessed to be able to partner with Christian churches for the past 2 decades.  During this time, we have learned many of the dos and don’ts of website building.  I am not saying that we know everything there is to know about websites, however, one of the most important truths we have learned is:

As a result, we have created a process that has proven to be the best way to build a church website.  This process has specific steps, which when followed, works like a well-oiled machine.

From time to time, there is the temptation to deviate from the process.  Sometimes this is caused by the pressure to launch a site quickly.  Other times it is caused by the desire go beyond the expectations of the client.  It can also be caused by a client who wants things done in a certain way.  There is no ill-intent with any of these scenarios, however, we have learned that straying from the proven steps of building a website can cause more harm than good.

So, what does this mean for you?

When considering a website development company for your custom website, ask them what their process is for building a website.  If they don’t have something written that will be followed, it is time to consider another company.  This is why it is having a volunteer build a website for you often times doesn’t lead to a successful website.  It is not because they don’t have the ability or good intentions, however, they usually don’t have a plan with specific steps that they will follow when building your website.
