Over the past 20 years, websites have gone from being very text heavy to image heavy. As a result, most websites now have image sliders on the homepage. An image slider is where images (graphics, slides, pictures) gently rotate from one to the next.
Some of the top benefits of having an image sliders on your website are:
- Enhances the look of the website
- Adds motion to the website without requiring additional programming
- Allows you to feature upcoming events, specials, or products and link to more information.
- Let’s you change the look/feel of your website through the look and style of the slides used.

I was wondering if I need to download WordPress now . I have two websites hosted @ OCC.com that I have been trying to revive. Should I wait until OCC launches their Word Press builder to redo my sites?
Hi Tom, you should wait. The new website builder we are developing will include a migration tool to copy web pages from your current site to the new web builder, but it will not have the ability to copy pages and other data from an installation of WordPress you install yourself.
