As I wrote in November, there is a great resource for getting your website dressed up for the holidays. It is easy to use and is FREE! The website, www.stockvault.net, has thousands of free stock images that you can download, many with a Christmas theme.
You can add these to a variety of your website’s pages, blog posts, or image sliders. This site does offer premium images that you can select for a fee. These images are featured at the top and the bottom of each page and are surrounded by a dark grey background. The premium images are from the website, Shutterstock, and will have “shutterstock” in the url. They are great images, but if you are looking for free images, keep your eyes focused on the images in the middle of the page with the url starting with “stockvault”.
To get directly to the images with a Christmas theme, click here. There are 40 pages of free stock images to you to view!
Do you have other websites that you like to use for free stock images? If so, please post them in the comments below.
