Communications work can be frustrating.
Most people who you communicate with, will never respond…
- They won’t comment on your blog posts
- They won’t like or share your Facebook posts
- They won’t reply to your emails
- They won’t give any feed back on your videos or podcasts
- They won’t thank you for updating the website
And when people do respond, more often than not its to complain or point out a mistake.
Perhaps you’re at the point where you want to quit because it seems like you’re not making a difference.
I just want to take a moment to encourage you.
While I do believe its important to measure results and listen to feedback, I also believe that as Christians we are to be Spirit-led. That means ultimately we do what the Spirit calls us to and we leave the results up to God.
So, if you’re feeling discouraged or frustrated or unappreciated because of the response (or lack of response) you’re receiving from your “audience,” remember…
Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters.
-Colossians 3:23
Or as I often say…
Do your best and trust God for the rest.
He’s good for it, ya know. 🙂
