A lot of people talk about creating community online, but if you look at a lot of church blogs and Facebook pages that is clearly easier said than done. In the offline word, events are a great way to bring people together in ways that can lead to friendships and community. The same is true online.
Today on Church Marketing Online, Kurt wrote about 5 Online Events Your Church Can Do This Month. Events he listed include…
- Live Stream Church Services with Chat.
- Host a Webinar.
Read the post for the rest of the list and for links to tools to help you put on these events.
It’s worth noting that most of these events aren’t exclusively for churches. A business, school, or ministry could live stream an event with chat, do webinar, or most of the other things on the list.
Have you done any online events to build community? If so, how did they go?
