Message: I didn’t intend to respond to what you reported re: 3 things and I can
only now remember the first one, which was the electronic church
doesn’t take the place of church.

This is something I do not agree with…many of us were led away from
church building’s and into the realization that each child of God is
God’s temple…in us the fullness of The Godhead dwells…and when 2 or
3 of us gather, no matter where…yes even in cyberspace…Christ JESUS
IS in the midst of us.

God does not inhabit building’s made by hand…HE dwells in man…and
we see the fellowship of believers is usually not being done according
to Paul’s pattern of church clearly revealed in 1 Corinthians 12 t0
14…seldom do we see The Spirit of God in charge of church
fellowship…and this is sad indeed, but The Word reveals…STRAIGHT is
the gate…narrow the way…and few there be that find it…

….so dear one, many are sitting in “The True Olive Tree,” and they are
not grafted in…during the shaking which is taking place according to
Hebrews 12…they will be “shaken out” because what can be shaken will
be shaken so what remains, is UN-shakable.

Ephesians 4:11-16 reveal the TRUE Body of Christ, and verses 16, 17,
reveal those who are not part of us, yet they thought they were…sadly
they will not hear COME UP HITHER…

Let none of us be counted in that number.

God bless you as you seek diligently to know who HE IS…for HE IS NOT
as people think HE IS…HE IS more than the man in the songs we
sing…HE IS more than the one most run to when in trouble…HE IS more
than the human mind can fathom…but HE IS MY FATHER…and the Father
of all those who choose to believe in the completed work His Son did at
The Cross 2000 years ago, that now allows those who believe to become
adopted into God’s family as a MUCH loved child…where our Father
takes care of us, and we in faith do not doubt and waver that in every
thing…no matter what it is…HE WILL work things out for our
good…when we have need, He meets the need…we don’t have to beg…we
just ASK…knowing by faith, HE WILL meet the need.

For us HE always does SINCE we discovered who HE IS and WHO WE ARE IN
HIM.

Resting In Him…abiding in His love and grace…

It is pretty simple to unsubscribe from the email distribution at devotions.ourchurch.com/subscribe.php

Nick, addressing your comment:

>I have been listed with a modest website on your service and have had precious few hits over a time of 4 years or so. Is that normal?

It depends what you’ve done to reach out to others. You can’t simply build a website and expect people to visit. You have to register it in search engines, promote it in forums, and exchange links with similar sites among other things. I would encourage you to check out our site 12 Steps to a Successful Website.

A comment might be in order here. I have been listed with a modest website on your service and have had precious few hits over a time of 4 years or so. Is that normal?

I realize that some people find that word offensive. If it were my site, that’s not the title I would choose either. But I’m just the messenger here. If you don’t like it, you can take it up with them or just choose not to visit the site.

Anyone who cares can read their explanation for the title. I included it in the article, but I’ll post it here as well:

That’s said, the content of the articles is relevant to what we’re talking about here, so let’s try to stay on the topic of Web 2.0 and church websites. Thanks.

Thank you for your mailing this morning regarding your blog archives. I am appalled that you would consider using a word such as “s….”. Maybe you assume that speaking in this manner, will reach certain people. This word may not be a swear word, and there is no reason to say it is “un-Christian”, but you are certainly lowering your standards. There is a level of respect being lost in this society and we should not be helping it along. I do not allow this word in my househould unless it refers to a straw, and I certainly would not visit a blog site with this word in the title.
