    New Church Website Tips Page

    Paul SteinbrueckBy Paul SteinbrueckMay 8, 2007Updated:Mar 15, 20241 Comment3 Mins Read

Today we continue on our theme of Church Website Innovation Month…  A couple of weeks ago I was being interviewed by Robin Mazyck of the Christian Broadcasting Network for an article about Church websites.  At the end of the interview she asked if I could send her links to a couple of web pages containing Church website tips.

After the interview I started looking through our blog archives for articles that would be helpful to their readers.  I ran into a couple problems.  First, I had a hard time finding some of the articles I thought would be most helpful.  I clicked on the church category, but it only went back so far.  The only way I could find some articles was to guess the month they were published and go back to the archives for that month.  The second problem was there were far too many articles in the church category to really serve as a resource on its own.

Seemed like the best solution was to compile the most useful articles about church websites into a new church website tips page.

    New Church Website Tips Page
The new church website tips page is easily accessible in the left menu just under the Pages sub-heading.  It includes links to what I think are the 11 most useful articles on church websites we’ve published so far broken down 3 categories: The Purpose of a Church Website and Tips to Achieve It, Sermon Audio, and Additional Church Website Tips.

    The Church Website Assessment Tool
The page also includes links to two resources on the Internet Evangelism Day website which I think every church webmaster should have bookmarked.  One of them is the Church Website Assessment Tool.  This is a great tool you can use to evaluate how effective your church website may be at helping you reach unchurched people in your community.  I would encourage every church webmaster to click the link and do the assessment.  Don’t get too caught up in your website’s score regardless of how low or high it is.  The important thing to use the tool for insight into areas where you can improve your website and use that insight to take make your church website more effective.

A World Wide Web of Wisdom
Of course Christian Web Trends is not the only source of tips and insight for developing an excellent church website.  Far from it.  For that reasons the page also includes links to other sites that focus on helping church webmasters create and manage excellent church websites.

So, what do you think of the new page?  Got any excellent church website resources you think we ought to add?  What do you think of the Church Website Assessment Tool?

Thank you for putting together the new Church Website Tips Page. I think it is wonderful. I found that I didn’t have enough time to read everything I wanted to read. But even the articles and tips I’ve read so far are so helpful. I’ll just have to come back another day and read some more. It’s so nice to know I can find it all again just by coming back to the Tips Page.

The Church Website Assessment Tool is very helpful, also. I actually did run across that before … about a week or two ago when I was reading about Internet Evangelism Day. You’re right. That should be something we all should bookmark.

      Thanks again!
