    Passwords Are Like Underwear

John Saddington posted this hilarious graphic over at ChurchIT. I thought it was too funny not to repost here.

Consider it a public service announcement.

I would also add that if you are using a web builder that has a single username and password, and you have multiple people using that username and password to update your website, this is another good reason to upgrade to a full-blown content management system (CMS).

All good CMS’s have a user/permissions management system that allow for multiple users and allow you to give each user access only to the parts of the site they are responsible for.

That graphics portrays Gene Simmons of the Satanic rock group kiss: a Jew, infamous philanderer, and self-avowed sodomist, upon a pair of brightly colored underpants. I don't think that it is appropriate to this website. My son was sitting next to me when that graphic appeared on my screen and I was forced to explain to him what it signified.

Kiss are not satanic. They do not sing about god, nor the devil. When was the last time you listened to a Kiss song? Somehow, I get the feeling it may have been a while. And because he was a Jew, he was inappropriate? What do you do when you go into town? Hide your son from all those horribly inappropriate people, who dare have the gall to think differently to you?
