OCC is Hiring: Senior Web Applications Developer

    Paul SteinbrueckBy Paul SteinbrueckAug 26, 2009Updated:Jan 30, 20236 Comments1 Min Read

Are you a web developer who loves God? Are you passionate about seeing Christian organizations communicate more effectively online?  Well, OurChurch.Com wants to hire you.

In this position you would help create future generations of our NE1 Web Builder, Joomla-based CMS services, the OurChurch.Com website and other applications.  This will include writing software that utilizes PHP, MySQL, HTML, CSS, and Javascript.

The job requires project management skills including the abilities to write requirements, create and adhere to a schedule, assign and delegate tasks, develop and perform tests, write documentation, and manage people.  Depending on the project the individual may be asked to work alone, lead other OCC staff, or hire/manage outside contractors.

I think we’re a great team to work with.  Sure, I know I’m probably biased in that opinion, but we all get along great and we do fun stuff outside of work together.  We’re a family friendly company, with flexible schedules.  We’re located in the Tampa Bay area, which is fantastic too.

If this sounds like a position you would thrive in and could help take OurChurch.Com to the next level, check out the full job description for instructions on how to apply.

    Paul Steinbrueck

    Co-founder & CEO, OurChurch.Com

Paul has been the CEO of OurChurch.Com since its founding in 1996, combining his passion for faith and technology to lead the organization.

An accomplished writer, Paul has authored over 2,000 articles on faith and technology, featured on platforms like ChurchLeaders.com, The JoyFM, and his personal blog, LiveIntentionally.org.

Beyond his professional achievements, Paul serves as an elder at Journey Community Church and is deeply engaged in his community through his involvement with the Florida Sheriffs Youth Ranch and the Safety Harbor Chamber of Commerce. He is a contributing author of the book Outspoken! Conversations on Church Communication.

Thank You, I love God and I love playing with our websites but all the other things that you have listed (just on the intro.!!) is not me! (by the way, you might want to check out each link you have, I think some of them might be out of date)

Ask the new designer for more side menu's and a way to upload photo's like we do on facebook!!

Love Ya and I DO reccomend you to everyone that I know! I would LOVE to get all the churches in our association to have at least the bronze pkg.!! I wanted to tell them that I would help sit them up (and I think God would like me to HELP but NOT take care of it like I am TRYING to do with our church's & the men in missions'!!) but not sure how OR if they would want me too!

Again, Thank You and God Bless you in all you do,

      Nancy Hartlein

Hi Nancy! Thanks for the recommendations. We love having you as a part of OurChurch.Com. We would love to see all the churches in your association to have at least the bronze package too. If you haven't already done so, you should let the leaders in your association know about our Organization Alliances:

If there's anything else we can do to help you in this effort, let us know.

Lonney, we sent the info about the job opening to all 22,000 blog subscribers in the hopes that perhaps it would be the right fit for one of them. It's probably not the right fit for most, including you because of your location.
