3 Gifts You Must Give Your Church Website this Christmas

    Mark SteinbrueckBy Mark SteinbrueckNov 28, 2017Updated:Nov 28, 2017No Comments2 Mins Read

Everyone knows about spring cleaning.  It is a time to open up the house and clean everything that has been collecting dust and dirt over the winter time.

In our house, Christmas clean up is just as big of an event.

There are certain nooks and knickknacks that only get cleaned a couple of times a year.

Setting up for Christmas is one of those times because we typically remove many of the normal home decor and replace it with Christmas decorations.

For a church website design, Christmas clean up even more important.

Christmas time is the busiest time of the year for churches.

It is also the time that a church gets the most visitors to its website.

So, do you want people to visit your website and read about the Trunk & Treat event or the Thanksgiving Food Drive?

In preparation for Christmas, make sure you do the following 3 things to your church website:

    1. Remove all events that have occurred in the past.
    2. Make sure everything is working on your website.  This will mean that someone goes through each page of your website, makes a list of things that need to be fixed, sends that list to the person who can fix them, then checks to make sure they are fixed.
    3. Prominently post your Christmas season service times.  For all churches, this will include Christmas Eve and Christmas Day service times.  For some churches, this will also include Advent and other Christmas related services.

Doing these three items will ensure the best experience for those visiting your website and will increase the likelihood they will feel welcome at your church during the Christmas season.
