What This Church Did To Make A Bold Statement

Mark SteinbrueckBy Mark SteinbrueckOct 6, 20142 Comments2 Mins Read

Many churches have good looking websites, however, often times they are not very memorable or don’t catch your attention.  The new website of First Baptist Church of Galveston, IN is not one of those websites.

FBC_GalvestonScreenshotFBC contacted OurChurch.Com to build a new website to help them accomplish their mission and purpose:

    • To bring glory to God.
    • To being God’s love to those in need.
    • To bring people to Christ and His Church.
    • To bring up believers to maturity in Christ.

So how does their new website help them accomplish their mission?

    1. Beautiful Bold Design:  FBC selected a pre-made design that was bright, has a tall header, and a large image slider to capture the attention of visitors.
    2. Guest Survey: FBC is not interested in being complacent, so they integrated a survey for first time and second time guests to help them understand what they are doing well and where they can make improvements.
    3. Upcoming Events widget on homepage:  Many websites have an integrated calendar but FBC also has a widget on their homepage that show upcoming events so visitors can easily see what activities are happening in the upcoming days.
    4. Online Prayer Requests:  FBC has made it very easy for those needing prayer to submit prayer requests.  Featured on their homepage, they have a link to an online form where visitors can submit prayer requests.

So what do you think of the new FBC website?  Are there any features of their website that motivate you to make changes to your website?  Please post your comments below.
