Whenever you hear people talking about Google or search rankings they always mention Pagerank.

“You need high Pagerank if you want to rank well in Google,”

Or

“How do increase my Pagerank so I can rank well for good keywords?”

But what is Pagerank and why is it so important?

If it is so important, how do you get it and how do you increase it?
