Must-Read Church Communications Book on the Way

OurChurch.Com and the Christian Web Trends blog exist to help Christian organizations communicate more effectively using the Internet.

So, as you can imagine, we were thrilled to see Tim Schraeder announce the development of new book about church communications called OUTSPOKEN: Conversations on Church Communications.

As director of communications for Park Community Church in Chicago, Tim has the experience, knowledge and wisdom to write a book like this on his own, but instead he’s decided to put together OUTSPOKEN in a very creative way that will dramatically increase its impact.

Rather than go it alone, Tim is doing this in partnership with the Center for Church Communications and more than 50 people with professional experience in church communications.

OUTSPOKEN will be a collection of short essays by each contributor focusing on various areas that encompass church communications. It will offer practical ideas and insights from some of the people who are shaping and changing the way churches communicate.

It’s a fantastic idea, and an even better feat of leadership to get all these great church communications people on board.

OUTSPOKEN is destined to be a must read-book for everyone who serves on a church communications or web team.  Not only that, but because communicating is at the heart of what every church does, this is going to be a key resource for senior and executive pastors.

I’m excited to have a small part in this project by contributing one of the essays.
