Analytics: Top Search Phrases, Posts & Wonky Keywords from July

    Paul SteinbrueckBy Paul SteinbrueckAug 4, 2011Updated:Feb 10, 20234 Comments3 Mins Read

Hello and welcome to August!  It’s time for our monthly look at our blog analytics.  We hope you’ll do the same & share some of your findings…

    Top 10 Search Phases/Keywords

    1. what is a qr code
    2. qr code
    3. what is a qr code?
    4. what is qr code
    5. twitter to buzz
    6. christian web trends
    7. what is a webinar and how does it work
    8. what is qr
    9. twitter to google buzz
    10. facebook for churches

    Observations

    • Keywords with “qr code” in them dominated again in July, because our What is a QR Code? post is #3 in google for the top 4 phrases shown above.
    • The #5 phrase “twitter to buzz” and #9 “twitter to google buzz” are about Google’s previous social network Buzz but their surging popularity is probably due to last month’s launch of Google’s latest social network Google+.
    Top 10 Blog Posts
    1. What is a QR Code? (and 4 other things you should know about them)
    2. How to Import from Twitter into Google Buzz
    3. QR Codes: 10 Ways Churches Can Use Them
    4. 12 Ways to Promote Your Band and Its Website
    5. Driving Traffic to your Blog or Website
    6. 167 Symbols to Spice Up Your Twitter and Facebook Updates ♫✞★♥☺
    7. How to Build Online Relationships Like Jesus
    8. 20 Newsletter Tips to Make Your eNewsletter Great (Part 1)
    9. 8 Things Pastors SHOULD Do on Facebook
    10. 5 Reasons Churches Should Use Social Media
    Observations
    • Again, the What is a QR Code? post topped all other posts with more than 4 times the visitors of the #2 post. That post also continues to drive traffic to the #3 post, QR Codes: 10 Ways Churches Can Use Them
    • As mentioned in the keywords observations, the launch of Google+ has generated renewed interest in Google Buzz, which propelled How to Import from Twitter into Google Buzz to be the #2 post in July.
    • Only 1 of the top 10 posts in July was published in July, #5: Driving Traffic to your Blog or Website. This is probably because I was out of town most of July and did not tweet on @OurChurchDotCom or @PaulSteinbrueck as much as I usually do.
    Wonky Keywords
    • “animated gif” shop // Please, no!
    • 25% of 1,000,000 // Does this look like a calculator?
    • ai chat that see you // I imagine it would be really hard to find an AI chat you can’t see
    • cannot put a dollar value on it // Awe shucks, we’re flattered. 🙂
Have you checked your website or blog’s analytics from July? What’d you learn? Got any funky keywords to share with us?

I once did a post on my Christian blog "How to Have Sex God's Way"… and you can imagine the 'wonky' keywords that brought people to my site. One's that I can't exactly repeat.

      Dear Mr. Steinbrueck
We are the “Chinese Christian Network Development Association”. Our office is in Taiwan (R.O.C.). We are a non-profit organization and our vision is to Link and share. Generally, We hope we could (1) link the resources of Chinese Christian society, (2) link the actions of Chinese church, (3)link caring groups, prayer groups and communities, (4) share the resources of Christians everywhere, (5) share the love of Christ on the internet, (6) share the faith of Jesus Christ.
The main reason to write this letter is because you have many good articles on “CHURCHLEADERS.COM” and we really expect we could share these articles with Christians who use Chinese as main language. Therefore, we really hope you can authorize the copyright of articles on “CHURCHLEADERS.COM” to us, then we could translate these articles into Chinese.
If you would like to know more about us, you can go to http://www.ps194.net (this is our forum on the internet) and https://www.facebook.com/CCNDA (this is our main page on the facebook). If you have any further questions, you can contact me. I am Timothy Chiang, the representative of “Chinese Christian Network Development Association”, and my E-mail address is sl**********@gm***.com. Thank you.
