Here is a simple way to show gratitude to your staff

Here is a simple way to show gratitude to your staff

Many churches give a lot of attention and appreciate to new visitors and new members, and that’s great.  However, often there are people who should be thanked but get overlooked.

Who are who are these people we often forget to thank?

    Staff and volunteers

There are so many ways that you can thank your staff and volunteers, but we want to suggest a way that doesn’t cost you anything and helps your website better reflect who you are as a church.

Previously, we wrote that one aspect of a great church website is to use photos of real people from your organization on your website.  So, when you are taking pictures for your website, make sure to get some good photos of your staff and volunteers.

Where should you put those photos?

    Good question! Here are…

3 Great Places on Your Website to put Photos of Your Staff and Volunteers

    1. Homepage

If you have a image slider or large static image at the top of your homepage, use a picture with multiple people, including some staff and volunteers.

    2. Ministry pages

We’re talking about the web pages you have for missions, youth ministry, children’s ministry, women’s ministry, and so on.  Include image(s) of people involved in that ministry and some of the staff/volunteers that lead that ministry.

    3. Staff directory

Include a picture and short bio of all your paid staff staff. And if you have volunteers that lead ministries, include them on your staff directory too, so people know who to contact if they’re interested in a particular ministry.

In this article, we’ve focused primarily on putting pics of church staff and volunteers on church websites, but these principles apply to business, ministry and school websites too.

Expand Your Team with Our Team

We’re big advocates of collaboration within the body of Christ. You don’t have to do everything yourself.  Often its better to partner with someone who has more knowledge and experience in a particular area.

Statistics show that simply acknowledging people about their service and work goes a long way with them. People are satisfied with recognition alone. It shows them that you recognize their work.

Its such as you read my thoughts! You seem to grasp a lot about this, like you
wrote the guide in it or something. I believe that you can do
with a few p.c. to drive the message home a bit, however instead of
that, that is excellent blog. An excellent read.
      I’ll certainly be back.
