Sunday night Hurricane Imra passed through the Tampa Bay area where OurChurch.Com is based. We thank God for his protection – all of our staff and their homes escaped Irma unscathed.
There are lots of trees and tree branches down all over the area. The most significant issue affecting our area, though, is the wide-spread power outages. Personally, my home was without power for about 2 days, but power has now been restored.

Things certainly could have been much worse. We feel blessed that God protected us. It’s also been very encouraging and inspiring to see the way friends and neighbors have rallied to help each other through preparations and aftermath of Irma.
I encourage everyone to continue to pray for those who don’t have power, those who are experiencing flooding, and those who have suffered damage. Listen to the Holy Spirit, and let’s live out our faith as the Spirit leads us.
