    What’s up, Doc?

Mark SteinbrueckBy Mark SteinbrueckAug 22, 20171 Comment2 Mins Read

Last night, one of my daughters informed me that there was a form she needed us to sign for school (it was due the next day).

There was one problem… the form was in her locker at school.

So, what was my response?  ‘Check online to see if the teacher made the form available there.’

But to our dismay, the form was not online, so we had to go to plan B (C, D, or E – I forget which).

How many times have you needed to fill out a permission slip, medical form, waiver, volunteer form, etc and were able to print/fill it out at home?

For our family, that is the best way to fill out forms.

I don’t care to sit in a doctor’s office or school, filling out forms for 20 minutes.  Half the time I don’t have all the information with me if I’m filling out the form outside our home.

Also, from a cost and efficiency perspective for a church, school, or business, isn’t it better for people to print/fill out forms at home, instead of you incurring the cost of paper and ink as well time for your staff to oversee people filling out forms?

So does your website offer this?  If not, why not?

A document management system is an option that we offer with all of our custom websites.  Some of the features are:

    • Store as many online PDF or Word documents as you would like.
    • Forms can be searched by keyword or category.
    • Password protect any documents
    • Link to documents on any webpage

A website based document management system is a win/win for everyone!  – Mark Steinbrueck

Good post, Mark. I totally agree that putting electronic copies of all your paper forms, handbooks, policies and other docs on your website saves a lot of printing costs and a lot of time for both you and the people who otherwise would have to request them via email or come in for printed copies.
