3 Truths That Prove Your Dream Is Within Your Reach

    Paul SteinbrueckBy Paul SteinbrueckAug 10, 2017Updated:Aug 10, 20177 Comments4 Mins Read

Previously, in the post You Were Made For a Mission, we talked about the importance of clearly defining your purpose and “Starting with Why” on your website.

If you want to work with a passionate, committed, loyal group of people (customers, students, volunteers, donors, members, or whoever you’re seeking), you’ve got to clearly define and communicate your “why” (your cause) before your “what.”  If you missed it, I strongly encourage you to read that post before continuing.

Do you know what my big “why” is?  The thing I’m most passionate about?

My passion is to help people make the most of their lives.

You see, I believe God made each one of us unique.  He’s given each of us a unique purpose, a unique passion, a unique dream.

Unfortunately, most people just sit on their dream and let it go unfulfilled.

Most people tell themselves things like:

    • That dream is too big.
    • I could never do that. I’m a nobody.
    • I need help and I don’t know anyone who would join me.

These statements are all false.  They’re lies we tell ourselves when we’re afraid to move forward.  So, let me counteract those lies with the truth.

3 Truths That Prove Your Dream Is Within Your Reach

    1) The bigness of your dream is part of what makes it inspiring!

Your dream is NOT too big.  If anything, your dream may be too small.  Nobody is inspired by small dreams.  Would you want to join a small group of disinterested people who are half-heartedly doing something that will have minimal impact?  Or would you rather join a group of passionate people who are fired up about the same big challenge you are and going all in on an effort that will change people’s lives?

    2) The Internet gives every one of us unprecedented opportunity!

There are more than 7 billion people alive today.  Almost half of them – 3.2 billion – have access to the Internet.  Never before in human history has anyone had the ability to communicate with 3 billion people, and now that technology has made this possible, who has this ability?  A few big corporations?  Nope. Only the wealthy?  Uh-uh. A handful of super-smart techie people?  No.

Average people like you and I have the opportunity to communicate with, influence, organize, educate and inspire billions of people.

You are not a nobody.  You are a unique person with a unique dream, and you have your fingers on the most powerful communications tool the world has ever known.

    3) Your people are just a click away!

Nobody has ever accomplished anything meaningful on their own.  The greatest business people, humanitarians, politicians, athletes and spiritual leaders have always been a part of a team.  In the past, teams were limited by geography.  Businesses could only hire people in the local area and sell to local customers.  Schools could realistically only attract students within 10 miles or so of their location.  The same with churches and nonprofits.

But today, your team can be global.  Yes, you are going to need a bunch of people working together to realize your dream.  Maybe you don’t know any of them yet   However, there are at least a thousand times more people within your virtual reach compared with your physical reach.

Thanks to the Internet, the door to your dream  is a thousand times wider than it used to be.

If you’ve been holding back on your dream and you’re ready move forward, it would be our pleasure too help you build a website, develop a custom website or help you with search marketing so you can connect with others who want to join you in your cause.

    Discussion

    •  Have you been holding back on your dream? Or your dream for your organization?  If so, why?
    • What is it about the Internet that gets you excited about its potential for your organization?

Paul Thank you for the opportunity to grow although it may be painful.
When a child finds out that dad has left the home and the bed that was hand made for me was sold things are harder to claim they belong to you. When mom drives away from the orphanage and you ask what have I done wrong? These things can mold a child and set life skills downward.
The only man that ever gave me love as I understood is the picture of Jesus on the wall in my room.
The father at the orphanage would drive his truck and get water in barrels. I promised that picture on the wall, when I grow up to bring water to the thirsty people.
Today I bring the living water to the ones that need Jesus Love.
Whether I have funds for the domain to share the good news or internet to connect with you and others, I am honored to be a water barrier. The streets, alleyways, bridges and prayers are the fuel for my feet. I am but a servant, paid in full by Jesus. one Kleenex and a heartfelt thank you for allowing me to share. brbruce

          Paul
Looking at the empty basket a boy offered his fish and loaves.
When will we the (church) stop looking for a bigger basket ?
Wanting to do the best is the goal we all strive at .
The ministry website reflects 10 years of learning,
to do hands on technical things.
Many are entertained with Jesus Spoken Hear stories.
Very few are moved to be a part.
The most valuable thing is our time.
Thank you for your kind words and blessings.
The jewels for the crown to be laid at His feet.
One day we will see Jesus.
