Your Story Matters. We’ll Reward You for Telling It

Paul SteinbrueckBy Paul SteinbrueckJun 20, 20182 Comments2 Mins Read

Here’s a sad fact: Thousands of churches, Christian ministries, and Christian-owned business are failing.

I don’t mean financially, although that is true as well. I mean failing to fulfill their mission.

    Why?

Every situation is different, but I can say with a high degree of confidence part of the problem is they are not connecting with the people they want to serve online and they are not staying connected with the people they once served.

    Why?

    • Their website looks bad
    • Their website is not mobile friendly
    • Their website is difficult to update
    • Their website software is not kept up to date
    • Their website is not optimized for good rankings in search engines
    • They are not communicating with members, volunteers, donors or customers via email/e-newsletters

    But Your Story is Different

Wow, that’s quite a declaration “…sad fact: Thousands…failing.” Just imagine what Paul could have done if he could have been on social media and had a website 😳

Hey Frank, do I sense some sarcasm in your comment? 🙂 I think it’s a fair point that God advanced his kingdom for thousands of years before the Internet exists. Therefore, He certainly can have an impact through a ministry that doesn’t have a website if He chooses.

However, I think the bigger principle is this: Jesus and the apostles went to where the people of their day gathered and discussed ideas – temples, marketplaces, wells, weddings. Today people gather and discuss ideas in different places, including online.
