Christian Web Trends Blog Is Smiling With New Design!

Over the past year, OurChurch.Com launched our new mobile friendly website on the WordPress platform.  To follow that up, we have now launched a new and improved, mobile friendly version of our blog, “Christian Web Trends”.

“It was very easy to focus on the main website and let Christian Web Trends sit on the back burner.” says Paul Steinbrueck, CEO of OurChurch.Com.  “However, seeing that nearly half of our traffic is from people using phones and tablets, it was important to make sure that the blog was providing the best user experience possible.”

The past design was launched over 5 years ago and was functional but it was time for a new look, while still being able to keep the ease of navigation and all the past posts.

That is one of the great aspects of WordPress: Launching a new design isn’t complicated.  We needed to create 4 new graphics for the image slider and make a few decisions on what content would be featured on the blog homepage.  But after that it was just a matter of implementing those decisions.

Thank you to all of our faithful readers, from those who have been with us for 10+ years, to those who have just recently joined the OCC family.  We hope you like the new look and enjoy the ability to more easily read posts with your phones and tablets.

Please keep posting your comments and questions on the blog.  We love to hear from you!

What do you think of the Christian Web Trend’s new design?

      Mark,
I like what I see on this Blog. I would like to submit a Guest Post and have read the Guidelines. However, I’m not quite sure where to submit my proposed Guest Post. I’m sure you can help me.

Hi Jim, take a look at the Become a Guest Blogger page. Towards the bottom it says…

If this sounds like an opportunity you would like to take advantage of, please register a username and complete your profile. When you register, you’ll automatically be given access to CTW as a “contributor” which means you can login and post articles for consideration.

Thanks Paul. I did register but didn’t seem to get an access. I will try again.

Ok, Paul. I got it. I access and post in the “new” post. Sorry, it wasn’t that clear to me. Maybe someone else could use a little more explanation?

Thanks Jim. Good point. It does assume some familiarity with WordPress.

      Paul,
Just inserted my first post. I found it realatively easy although I had to revise a couple of times to get it right. I think I got the image in the post ok. Please let me know if I didn’t. Your help is greatly appreciated. – Jim

      Paul,
Sorry to bother you again but I have another post I want to submit but I notice the image did not show up on my previous post. Can you help me to figure this out, please?

      • Paul Steinbrueck on Sep 19, 2016 5:51 pm

Hi Jim, thanks for submitting the guest post. We have a backlog of posts right now, but I’ll review as soon as I can. We’ve not been able to figure out how to get WordPress to allow guest bloggers to upload and include images, so email me the image or a link to the image and we’ll take care of it. You can email support (at) ourchurch (dot) com
